This page explains what personal data we collect when you use the Hríbiky.sk / Hribiky.cz application, how we use it, how long we retain it, and what rights you have.

2. What Data We Collect

  • GPS coordinates — the location of the trail marker you add. Collecting location data is essential for the core functionality of the application.
  • Photos — photos of the trail marker that you upload when adding a record.
  • Email (optional) — if provided, we use it to associate your contributions and build the leaderboard. Providing your email is voluntary.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

We process personal data based on:

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — for GPS coordinates and photos, which are necessary for the application to function.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — for the email address you provide voluntarily.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data solely for the purposes of this application:

  • Displaying trail markers on the map
  • Building the contributors leaderboard based on email

We do not share, sell, or transfer your data to any third parties.

5. Analytics

The website uses Google Analytics (Google Tag Manager) for statistical traffic monitoring. Google Analytics may collect anonymized data about your browser, device, and behavior on the site. This data is processed by Google LLC in accordance with its own privacy policy. For more information, visit policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data until you request its deletion. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your data without undue delay.

7. Security

All communication between the application and the server is encrypted via HTTPS. Access to the database is protected and restricted.

8. Age Requirement

This application is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under the age of 16.

9. Territorial Scope

The application is primarily operated for the territory of Slovakia and the Czech Republic, but allows adding records from anywhere in the world. The processing of personal data is governed by the GDPR.

10. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request information about what data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent — withdraw your consent to email processing at any time
